Winter arrives in Nova Scotia with real gusto. A thing of beauty if you aren’t in the business of shipping live lobster around the world.
Six days ago we were fearful that we would have no winter. It was a balmy 12 C on Christmas Day, and three of us waited in our gazebo for a shipment to proceed to Brussels. Two of the young fellows were in short sleeve shirts. They were celebrating global warming in a strange sort of way.
Things change quickly on the Coast of Nova Scotia. Two storms in the last three days and it now looks and feels like the middle of February. Logistics are a bit more challenging but nothing that will stop our progress. We don’t mind the snow the least little bit, it is the gusty winds and freezing rain that can be a problem when we are trying to serve an international marketplace from Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Regardless: We wish our friends around the world all the best in the coming year. Peace, good health, prosperity and a sustainable environment would come in mighty handy. We thank you for your patience and support over the course of the last year. Better days ahead for everyone!
Happy New Year / Regards Stewart & Penny
